Who is eligible to participate in the Metropolitan Music Showcase?
Young pianists, string players (violin, viola, cello and double bass), and chamber groups (with piano and/or strings) age 21 and under are welcome to compete.
Are there any fees to enter the competition?
Yes, a registration fee applies and details are on the registration form. The fee for the Preliminary Round is $40 and if selected, the fee for the final round is $60. There is an additional $10 fee for late registration for the Preliminary Round.
How do I register for the competition?
Register through the link to the Google form by clicking on the “Register Now” button on our website. Complete the application form, pay the registration fee by e-transfer and provide a link to your performance video.
Can I use the same video for the Preliminary and Final Round?
The same video or a new video with different repertoire may be used in the Preliminary and Final Round.
